Celebrating one year of Red Rose Media

A journey of growth, support, and small business success

This month marks an incredible milestone for Red Rose Media—our one-year anniversary! It’s hard to believe how quickly this year has flown by, and I recently had the chance to celebrate with the people who made it possible: my supportive family, friends, and the clients who’ve trusted me to be part of their journey.

When I started Red Rose Media, my goal was simple: help small businesses thrive online with effective content. In just one year, that vision has come to life in ways I couldn’t have anticipated. Positive feedback on the content I've created for clients has led to new referrals, generating growth that’s deeply rooted in client trust and satisfaction. Hearing that my work has made a difference for other small businesses keeps me inspired every day.

The biggest challenge initially was balancing my NHS role with my passion for Red Rose Media. Now, with a recent shift to freelancing full-time, I’m able to focus completely on helping clients reach their online goals. This shift has allowed me to commit fully to client objectives, refining their online presence and supporting their growth through personalised strategies.

One of the greatest surprises has been the support from other local businesses and freelancers. I always thought freelancing might be competitive, but the community has been amazing. Small businesses really do support each other, and I’m grateful to be part of such a collaborative environment.

As I look to year two, I’m excited to establish ongoing relationships with clients and expand my work with health-focused businesses. I’m also exploring ideas to create something valuable, like a training course or guide that small businesses can use to boost their digital presence.

The anniversary event was a memorable moment, with friends, family, and clients coming together to celebrate and network. Watching clients from different industries connect and discuss potential collaborations was especially heartwarming. Seeing my support network interact and build relationships gave me hope and reminded me that every step of this journey is worth it.

Running Red Rose Media has taught me a lot about believing in myself and sharing my passion for this work. If there’s one piece of advice I’d give to other small business owners, it’s this: talk about your brand, repeat your message, and let your passion shine through. People connect with genuine stories, and sharing mine has made all the difference.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey. Here’s to another year of growth, connection, and building dreams together!
